Colorado Crush News Release

Commerce City, Colo. ( May 6, 2003) - The Colorado Crush has announced that OS Damian Harrell has been placed on the injured reserve list for the remainder of the season, and WR/LB Javon Green has been activated to the 24-man active roster.

Harrell has been placed on the injured reserve list due to a dislocated wrist he suffered on the last play of overtime against Orlando May 4. He had surgery to repair the dislocation Sunday night. Harrell was leading the team in receptions (97), receiving yards (1,426), and touchdown receptions (38) before the injury. He ranked among league-leaders in several major receiving categories. Harrell had seven 100-yard receiving games this season, is now tied for 14th all-time with four seasons of 50+ receptions, and tied for fifth all-time with three seasons of 1,000+ receiving yards. He was named AFL Offensive Player of the Month in February, catching 30 passes for 475 yards and 15 touchdowns in that month.

Green, who was selected by the Crush in the 2003 AFL Expansion Draft on Oct. 22, 2002, has been on the practice squad since the beginning of the season. Green graduated from the University of Colorado, where he was a four-year letterman. He finished his career fifth in school history in receiving yards (2,031), third in receptions (136), and third in receiving touchdowns (17). He earned back-to-back All-Big 12 Conference selections in 1999 and 2000.
