Colorado Crush News Release

Denver, Colo. - Colorado Crush (3-3) defensive back Rashad Floyd was named the Arena Football League's ADT Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Crush's 69-66 win in Cleveland against the Gladiators on April 11.

Floyd's night included recording 2 interceptions, 10 tackles, 1.5 for a loss to go with a 1 pass defended. Floyd's two interceptions came on consecutive Gladiator drives in the fourth quarter of last Friday's game and put him at a league leading six on the season. The Crush turned the two turnovers into 10 points and a game that was tied at 52 heading into the fourth quarter became a 62-52 Crush lead that Colorado did not give up.

It is the sixth time Floyd has been named the AFL's Defensive Player of the Week and the first time since Week 8 of last season when Colorado Defeated the same Gladiators, who at the time were the Las Vegas Gladiators.

This marks the second time in as many weeks that a Crush player has been named an AFL player of the week. Last week WR Ben Nelson garnered the honor for his stellar performance against the L.A. Avengers.
