Colorado Crush News Release

DENVER, Colo. (Nov. 6, 2007) - The Arena Football League's Colorado Crush have come to terms with three more talented athletes, including OL/DL Jason Holman, WR Jeff Hughley and FB/LB Kevin Nagle. After signing former 2006 AFL Rookie of the Year in Ben Nelson, and resigning veteran kicker Clay Rush, Colorado shows resolve in adding further talent to its roster.

"We are excited to bring in one of the most explosive players in the af2 with (Jeff) Hughley," Crush head coach Mike Dailey said. "Kevin (Nagle) is a proven three-year veteran and Jason (Holman) was with us last year,...so we feel that we were able to get some very talented players that will add roster depth and compete at a high level."

Hughley (5-8, 165, Averett College), led the Tulsa Talons of the af2 last year in just about every offensive category. His average of 157.2 yards per game was almost 100-yards more than his closest teammate. In 16 games for the Talons, Hughley scored 33 touchdowns including four in the ArenaCup Championship, leading Tulsa to a 73-66 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers.

"As a rookie in the af2, Jeff showed he could dominate a game at that level and we hope he continue that success in the AFL," Dailey said.

Holman (6-3, 285, Winston-Salem State), was signed on to the Crush practice squad on June 23, 2007 and has continued to impress the coaching staff which prompted the contract extension. He was a first-team All-CIAA selection at defensive end his senior year at WSSU and attended rookie mini-camp with the New Orleans Saints in May 2007.

"We were happy with his progress on the practice squad last year when we got into a little bit of a roster bind, and he has continued to excel at this level," Dailey expressed of Holman's time in Colorado.

Nagle (6-2, 245, East Stroudsburg-PA) spent all of last year on the active roster of the Orlando Predators before becoming a free-agent after the season. He is a hard-nosed player that rushed for 155 yards on 48 attempts with four touchdowns with the Predators. Nagle suited for three seasons with the af2's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers from 2002-04 and was a first team All-PSAC for four consecutive years in college. Can play both sides of that ball at FB and LB and will give coach Dailey some strength and speed at both positions.

"Again this is a guy who has a track record for doing well where ever he plays," Dailey said. "He is a versatile player with some tenacity and likes to get after it."
