Crunch Announce Roster Move

Syracuse, NY (December 27, 2011) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have recalled left wing John Kurtz from the Elmira Jackals (ECHL).

Kurtz, an Oakville, ON native, has appeared in four games for the Jackals during the 2011-12 campaign going scoreless with 12 penalty minutes. He played 49 games with the Crunch during the 2010-11 season totaling six points (4g, 2a) and 102 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, Kurtz played in 251 OHL games for for the Sudbury Wolves and Windsor Spitfires, where he recorded 143 points (71g, 72a) and 175 penalty minutes.

The Crunch host the Springfield Falcons on December 28 at the War Memorial Arena.
