Crew coaches hitting NCAA Tournament games this week

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Tuesday, November 22) - Columbus Crew Head Coach Sigi Schmid and the Crew coaching staff is busy this week scouting NCAA Men's Division I second and third-round tournament games today and over the weekend. The coaching staff will watch five games today, including West Virginia at Akron (7:30 p.m., Robert Warzycha), Notre Dame at Indiana (7 p.m., Eddie Carvacho), Seton Hall at Penn State (7 p.m., Mike Lapper), UC Santa Barbara at Cal St. Northridge (1 p.m., Schmid) and SMU at UCLA (7 p.m., Schmid). After today's second-round games, the coaches will then decide which games to watch during the weekend.

PASION DE GOL WILL RESUME NEXT THURSDAY AT 5 P.M. ON RADIO SOL, 1550-AM

Crew Assistant Coach Eduardo "Eddie" Carvacho hosts Pasion de Gol (Passion for Goals), an hour-long soccer show every Thursday from 5-6 p.m. on Spanish radio station Radio Sol, 1550-AM. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the show will resume next Thursday. Radio Sol is also the Spanish radio play-by-play home for all Crew home games. The show is geared toward The Crew and Major League Soccer, as well as the numerous Hispanic players, coaches and administrators around the league and country.
