Crawdads Defeat Drive

Greenville, SC - Greenville Drive leaves Hickory field scoreless after the fourth game of the series. The Crawdads led the entire game and finished with a final score of 4-0.

After two uneventful innings, Hickory made their first move at the bottom of the third when Jayce Easley hit a homer after a pitch from Drive player Chih-Jung Liu.

The Crawdads struck again in the fifth inning when Scott Kapers hit a home run to extend Hickory's lead by two runs.

Greenville continued to struggle as the players could not get into an offensive rhythm while the Crawdads continued to score.

Hickory extended their lead further at the bottom of the sixth when Frainyer Chavez hit a double to send two men to home plate.

Drive Pitcher Chih-Jung Liu took the loss after pitching five innings with an ERA of 5.13 and two strikeouts.

The Drive will continue the series with the Crawdads tomorrow 7:00pm.
