
Cranes name public relations director

Kearney, Neb. â Karri Thunker, of Bloomfield, Neb., has been named the Public Relations Director for the Nebraska Cranes Basketball Team. The Nebraska Cranes, the newest team in the United States Basketball League, will be playing in Kearney, Neb. this spring.
Thunker graduated from Bloomfield High School in 2001. She is currently attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney and will be graduating this May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing/Management.
While at UNK, Thunker served as the President of the Advertising and Public Relations Club as well the President of the Xi Phi Chapter of Mortar Board, an honor society recognizing students for their scholarship, leadership and service, and has participated in many other organizations and activities.
