Crane Assistant GM/ Assistant Coach Named

Kearney, Neb. - Rommie Lewis has been named the Assistant General Manager and Assistant Coach for the Nebraska Cranes. With an extensive background in sports as well as business, Lewis will be an excellent addition to this organization.

Lewis played college basketball at Northwest Nazarene University for Coach Layton from 1975-78. He received NAIA Honorable Mention in 1977-78, led the team in scoring from 1975-78 and currently holds the school record for the most points scored in one game (43).

Lewis toured Asia with the All Star Team and played in Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand. He played professionally in France.

When it comes to coaching, Lewis has coached at all levels: AAU, Select, Middle School, High School, College (Northwest Nazarene Univ., Seattle Pacific Univ.).

He also has an extensive business background. Lewis has achieved great success in Transportation, Industry/Operations (Crowley Maritime), Sales Industry VP/GM (Yacht Sales International), Technology, Industry/Sales (Microsoft Corp).

Lewis and his wife, Sue, have three children: Rommie Jr. (currently in Baltimore Orioles Org.), Chelsea (Sophomore in College), Trevor (Sophomore in high school).
