Coyotes Trim Roster to Game-Day Limit

FRESNO – With less than a week until their season opener versus the Bakersfield Blitz, the Coyotes cut their roster down to the league limit of 21, head coach Fred Biletnikoff Jr. announced today.
The Coyotes will kick off their fourth season in the six-year-old arenafootball2 League on Saturday, Apr. 2, on the road against the Bakersfield Blitz at the Rabobank Arena. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. (Pacific).
The five players placed on re-assignment by Central Valley are: wide receiver/linebacker Harbert Briscoe, fullback/linebacker Jabari Jackson, offensive/defensive lineman Dwayne Johnson, wide receiver/linebacker BÂ’Jay Jones and fullback/linebacker Kevin Nelson.
Wide receiver/defensive back Ty Johnson will spend the opening week of the 2005 season on the injured reserve list.
The Coyotes will play their home opener at Selland Arena versus the Arkansas Twisters on Mar. 23. That game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. and can be heard on ESPN AM 1430.
