
Coyotes dust the Dusters 59-42

Central Valley Coyotes News Release
(Amarillo, TX) - The Central Valley Coyotes beat the Amarillo Dusters tonight 59-42 in a game that was important to the Coyotes playoff hopes. This was total team victory with contribution by both the offense and defense. This win gives the Coyotes a 2 game winning streak for only the second time this season.
Scott Rislov, who entered the game tied for the league lead in passing touchdown with 65, threw for 6 touchdowns and 1 interception. The Coyotes had 2 rushing touchdowns 1 each by Vai Nota and Matt Guardia; Guardia also had one receiving touchdown. LaMonte Jones the Coyotes leading receiver had 3 touchdown reception, James Lewis and Wes Borba had the other two receiving touchdowns.
The Coyotes defense stepped up with some stellar play by their defense backs that had 2 interceptions, one each by Aaron Miller and Kenny Haslip. The Defense line also contributed with 5 sacks while pressuring on the quarterback all night.
With the Coyote win and the loss by the Bakersfield Blitz to the Oklahoma Yard Dawgs 63-64, the Coyotes (7-4) are now tied for second place with the Blitz (7-4), each behind the Spokane Shock (8-2).
The Coyotes are on the road again next week traveling to Everett, Washington for the second time this season to play the Everett Hawks for the 3rd time this season on June 24th. The Coyotes return home on July 8th meeting the Stockton Lighting at Selland Arena at 7:15 P.M.
