
Coyotes Defeat Stockton 58-45

Fresno, CA-The Central Valley Coyotes came in to Saturday's match up versus the Stockton Lightning with a two game losing streak, and a big chip on their shoulder. Central Valley methodically dispatched of the visiting Lighting 58-45.
The Coyotes took a 30-24 lead in to the locker room at the half and then proceeded to out score Stockton 21-0 in the third quarter, thus solidifying a 27 point lead heading in to the final period. This deficit proved to be too much to over come for the Lightning, despite a solid comeback effort.
Central Valley received an outstanding individual effort from WR Tonae Martin who earned the Schutt Offensive Player of the Game award after a four touchdown affair. Coyotes DB DeOnte Taylor, who was named the ADT Defensive Player of the Game, turned in the defensive play of the game on a 52-yard interception for a touchdown.
The Coyotes even their record to 3-3 while the Lightning drops to 1-6 with the loss. Central Valley plays host to the Rio Grande Valley Dorados next Saturday May 17th at Selland Arena, with the kickoff at 7pm.
