COX 9 to broadcast remaining four Arizona Sting home games starting February 29

Glendale, Ariz: The Arizona Sting announced today that they have reached a partnership with Cox Communications to broadcast the remaining four home games live on COX 9. "This is a great step for the future of Arizona Sting Professional Lacrosse," said Doug Moss Governor of the Arizona Sting. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to televise the sport of lacrosse and expose the state of Arizona to this great game."

"Cox is very excited to be including live coverage of the Sting's lacrosse games on Cox 9," said Ivan Johnson, vice president of community relations and Televideo, Cox Communications. "This partnership is a win-win for Cox and the Sting delivering for the first time exclusive, local and action packed lacrosse programming to our Valley viewers!"

The broadcasts will start on February 29 versus the Calgary Roughnecks at 5:00 pm. Remaining telecasts for Arizona Sting home games are Saturday, March 6, Friday, March 19 and Saturday, April 3. The official play-by-play voice of the Arizona Sting will be Barry Beutel. Beutel has done previous play-by-play for the NLL this season including the inaugural Arizona Sting game back on December 26, 2003.

Cox Communications is proud of its local and original programming on Cox 9 Phoenix. This local cable channel features programming that addresses our commitment to youth and education such as "After the Bell", "Cox Connecting with Kids", and high school football Live. Cox 9 is also the exclusive home of the Arizona Interscholastic Association's High School Championships including football, basketball, softball and volleyball.
