
Cowsette signs with Chicago Bears

Former Dragons lineman Delbert Cowsette has signed a contract with the NFL's Chicago Bears and will start practicing tomorrow at the Bears' training camp.
Cowsette spent the 2006 season on the New York Dragons as a rookie in the Arena Football League. He received All-Rookie honors after recording 15.5 total tackles, five sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two pass breakups.
"The AFL was a great experience for me and the Dragons coaching staff helped me out a ton. I had a great experience in the league and now I'm excited to have another opportunity in the NFL," said Cowsette. "I'm mentally more prepared because of my experience playing Arena Football."
"We are happy for Delbert Cowsette and this opportunity. We feel he is a marvelous player and will do well in Chicago," said Dragons head coach Weylan Harding. "We wish him the best and hope for his success."
