Milwaukee Mustangs News Release

MILWAUKEE (December 16, 2011) - The Milwaukee Mustangs are proud to announce that the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL have signed former Milwaukee quarterback Chris Greisen to the practice squad.

With the recent season-ending injury to Cowboy's backup Jon Kitna, Greisen could possibly be promoted to the active roster during the remaining three weeks of the season. Greisen joined the Cowboys' active roster for the final few games of the season in 2010 after a strong season as Milwaukee's quarterback.

In 2010, he earned Arena Football League Offensive Player of the Year honors after leading Milwaukee to an 11-5 record and a run to the AFL playoff semifinals. During the course of the year, Greisen broke the AFL's single-season record for passing yards, throwing for 5,139 yards. Greisen also threw for 107 touchdowns and had only 11 interceptions.

The 2012 Milwaukee Mustangs are thrilled to honor and represent the Arena Football League as they celebrate their Silver 25th Anniversary this season. Tickets and sponsorships on sale now!
