Courage Signs Forward Keri Sarver

Morrisville, NC (July, 8, 2003) - The Carolina Courage added forward Keri Sarver to its roster today, signing the former Maryland standout to a developmental contract. Sarver will fill the final roster vacancy created when goalkeeper Meghann Burke was waived on May 24th.

Sarver scored nine goals and added seven assists for the Maryland Pride of the W-League in 2002. Sarver was selected by the Washington Freedom in the 13th round (104th overall) of the 2001 WUSA Draft. She played in one game for the Freedom in 2001, logging 32 minutes. This season, Sarver saw action in one game for the New York Power.

The Courage will take on the New York Power on Saturday, July 12th at 7:00 pm at SAS Stadium in Cary, NC.
