Kalamazoo Wings News Release

Intra-state rivals will clash tonight, as the Kalamazoo Wings battle the Port Huron Icehawks. The K-Wings, who are 2-2-0-0 versus the Icehawks this season, have won their last two against Port Huron, including a 5-3 decision on November 18th in their last meeting at McMorran Place Arena.

Entering the night in fourth place, the K-Wings will attempt to move up the IHL ladder with a victory. Kalamazoo trails Muskegon, who is idle, by a single point for third. After tonight, Kalamazoo will return to Wings Stadium to begin a two-game home stand this weekend.

With 28 points, Port Huron sits atop of the IHL standings. The Icehawks have been a bit of an anomaly. Port Huron is 9-5-0-0 on the road this season and 5-5-0-0 at McMorran Place Arena. Tonight starts a two-game home stand for the Icehawks and a stretch that will keep them at home for five of their next six contests.
