Cougars Win Two Prince George Citizen Reader's Choice Awards
October 29, 2020 - Western Hockey League (WHL) - Prince George Cougars News Release
PRINCE GEORGE, BC - The Prince George Cougars are proud to announce that the team has been named "Favourite Local Sports Team" as well as "Most Community Minded" by the Prince George Citizen as part of the newspaper's 2020 Reader's Choice Awards.
Each year the Prince George Citizen conducts a poll where print and digital readers vote for businesses in multiple categories.
"Our team is proud to be locally owned and operated, and we owe this recognition to the amazing support we receive from our fans and community," said Cougars' Vice President, Business Andy Beesley. "We are extremely fortunate to have incredible businesses who continue to support us, which allows us to be leaders in giving back to our city. I'd also like to thank the Prince George Citizen for showcasing all the local business winners."
The Cougars organization thanks all those who voted in the 2020 Reader's Choice Awards. Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the team is committed to finding ways to provide top-level sports entertainment in Northern BC, as well as continuing our ongoing support of the community of Prince George.
