Corrente Acquired Via Trade with Oshawa

Mississauga St. Michael's Majors News Release


Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors have acquired defenceman David Corrente in a trade with the Oshawa Generals hockey club, in exchange for the Majors '09 3rd Round draft pick (from Niagara, and Sudbury).

Corrente, a 5'10", 178 lb. native of Mississauga, Ontario, registered a goal and 7 points in 28 games played with the Generals so far this season, and collected 31 penalty minutes. The 18 year-old was selected by Oshawa in the 2nd Round (21st overall) at the 2007 OHL Priority Selection, and began his OHL career with the Generals full-time in 2007-08.

Mississauga goes on the road tomorrow night when they visit the Wolves at 7:30 p.m., and the Ottawa 67's on the following afternoon at 2 p.m. Then, they visit the London Knights on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. All Majors road games are available via webcast at www.stmichaelsmajors.com.
