Corning Bulldogs Announce Second Tryout Camp

Published on July 2, 2007 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Corning, NY. The ABA Corning Bulldogs professional basketball team that begins play in November has announced that it will hold its second tryout camp on Saturday, July 21st from 6-9pm. The tryout camp will be held at Waterloo High School, 96 Stark Street, Waterloo, New York.

The Corning Bulldogs organization is about doing things the right way. The first tryout camp included uniformed team practice jerseys for players, college coaches and scouts, all uniformed alike in team coachwear. Beverages for players and coaches as well as a TV News crew from the Corning/Elmira area filed parts of the tryout as well as conducted one-on-one interviews with some of the top players in attendance. Players at the second tryout camp can expect everything that was at the first camp and more.

According to James R. Schutz, team co-owner and GM, "The first tryout camp was great. However, here at the Corning Bulldogs we are always looking to stay one step ahead of the other teams in the ABA. Players can expect a few new surprises in addition to what we had at the first tryout camp. At the first tryout camp, we had several former NCAA D-1 players as well as players who last year were on well known pro basketball teams including the Rochester RazorSharks and Buffalo Silverbacks. When you hear the phone ring and you answer and on the other end of the phone are proven players from proven pro basketball organizations, it is a good feeling because you know they have heard that we take pride in running a classy organization and would like to be part of it."

The second tryout camp will include the top 10 players who attended the first tryout camp along with the 10 best new applicants we receive. A $125 non-refundable fee is required for new players participating in the tryout and must be submitted along with a tryout appication.

Following the first tryout camp, the Corning Bulldogs signed two former NCAA D-1 stars who will be mong the elite players in the ABA. For more information, visit www.corningbulldogs.com or email info@corningbulldogs.com or call 585 409 0130 or visit www.abalive.com.
