Copita America 2007 is sold out in Miami

Miami, May 17, 2007 - Copita America USA 2007 - Miami announced today that it is sold out with over 200 teams registered; nearly 2000 players will participate and over 400 games will be played. The two day tournament saw an increase of over 100% from the 80 teams competing in the 2004 edition.
Copita America USA 2007 - Miami takes place at Cutler Ridge Park on May 19th and 20th. Teams compete in the U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U19, Adult Recreational and Adult Premier divisions. The Adult Premier is playing for total prize money of $3,000 and a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to Caracas, Venezuela to watch the semifinals of Copa America Venezuela 2007.
Wendy's, the primary sponsor of Copita America USA 2007, will promote Copa America at more than 1,200 restaurants throughout the U.S.
"This association with Copa America provides Wendy's with a 360 degrees soccer marketing platform to captivate players, fans and entire families through the most important soccer event in the Americas and arguably one of the most important sports event in the world this year. Wendy's is very excited about helping bring the Copa America experience to fans and players in the United States on television, in our stores and on the soccer fields," commented Ana Hernandez, Director of Multicultural Marketing of Wendy's USA.
In addition to all of the scheduled activities, Fernando Fiore of Univision's Republica Deportiva will be hosting a special media game on Saturday, at 11 am, at the main activity field located in center of the sponsor village.
Copita America 2007 kicks off in Miami on Saturday and Sunday May 19-20 and continues to seven additional US cities through June 23. The tournament schedule is as follows:
