Copeland to Help Distribute Jackets

The Calgary Stampeders, their fans and the Salvation Army teamed up to help those in need at last weekend's Stamps game. The sixth annual Salvation Army Coat Drive was held prior to the game with fans donating new or gently used jackets to the cause.
Approximately 800 jackets and $3,200 in cash were collected, bringing the six-year total to 6,220 coats and over $11,700 raised.
Nearly 400 people are expected to receive coats on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Salvation Army Centre of Hope (420 9 Ave. S.E.). Stamps slotback Jeremaine Copeland will be on hand from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Media are welcome to attend.
Jackets are still being accepted at the Booth Centre (631 - 7th Avenue SE.).
The next Stampeders home game is the West Final on Nov. 15 at 2:30 p.m. The game is expected to sell-out, so fans are encouraged to get their tickets through Ticketmaster at 403.777.0000 or by visiting Ticketmaster.ca.
