Louisiana Swashbucklers News Release

LAKE CHARLES - After three years as the Official Beer of the Louisiana Swashbucklers, Coors Light has launched an unprecedented marketing campaign to strengthen the partnership between the IFL champions and the preferred beer of indoor football fans in Southwest Louisiana.

Coors Light is setting up HUGE retail displays promoting the Louisiana Swashbucklers in much the same fashion as they did with the NFL. "This is a tremendous opportunity for both Coors Light and the Bucs to capture the attention of football fans who just didn't get enough football this year. By teaming up with Coors Light, we will have instant market coverage and have a presence in more than 75 retail locations in a five-parish area", said Thom Hager, owner and president of the team.

Richard Dow, Operations Director for the team added, "Coors Light really stepped up to the table this season with an ingenious plan to promote this partnership. Soon you'll see Swashbucklers goalposts at most Coors Light retail displays."

Fans will be urged to register at these Coors Light displays to win all sorts of Coors Light and Swashbucklers "swag" and even 2008 season tickets. Along with GAP Broadcasting, General Motors, and Coors Light, 100 season tickets will be given away pre-season. Listen to Gator 99, 92.9 the Lake, Jamz 107.5, and Star 92 for locations to register and meet the Head Coach of the Louisiana Swashbucklers along with players and FirstMates cheerleaders.

"How do we top last season after winning the championship?" asked Hager. "By giving away a new car!" Not only will every season ticket holder receive a bonus pack valued at more than $122, one lucky season ticket holder will win a 2008 Chevy Malibu from the local Chevrolet dealers. Just look for the Coors Light displays and register to win.
