
Conquest to Sponsor 7-on-7 Tournament

ALBANY, NY â The Albany Conquest in conjunction with All-American Sports and Recreation will sponsor the "Conquest High School Challenge", a 7-on-7 flag football tournament for Section II high school football players. The preliminary games will take place this Saturday, July 29th from 9 am - 2 pm at Knott Field in Guilderland, NY while the championship game will be played that same afternoon from 4 pm â 5 pm at Pepsi Arena. The game will take place prior to the Albany Conquest's game versus the Richmond Speed.
"With the championship game being played at Pepsi Arena we want the high school kids to experience what our players go through with the total Arena Football atmosphere,"said Conquest general manager Robert Thompson. "We plan on having our full entertainment package for the kids including player introductions, a national anthem singer, public address announcer and music."
The Northeast Division Champions Conquest are home this Saturday, June 29th when they host the Richmond Speed. The Conquest handed the 9-2 Speed their first loss of the season 33-30 back on June 1st. Tickets for that game are sale now and are available at the Pepsi Arena Box Office, pepsiarena.com, all Ticketmaster outlets or Ticketmaster charge-by-phone at (518) 476-1000.
