Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (April 9)-As many North Texans await for the Easter Bunny this weekend, the Texas Brahmas and their fans look to send some Jackalopes out of town in defeat as the Brahmas kick off their Southern Conference Finals series this weekend in the CHL Ray Miron's President Cup Playoffs.
Game One is set for Friday evening at 7:05 PM at the NYTEX Sports Centre. On Saturday the Brahmas will play Game Two against the Jackalopes, also at 7:05 PM. Texas went 4-1-1 this season against Odessa in the regular season and goaltender Brett Jaeger posted a perfect 4-0 record.
This is the second consecutive appearance for the Brahmas in the Conference Finals. Last season, as a member of the Northern Conference, Texas came just short in Game Seven against the Colorado Eagles. In the offseason the Brahmas moved to the Southern Conference for the first time in franchise history and look for their first CHL championship.
In between periods, the intermission activities will be a sure hit, with fun events honoring the holiday weekend. On Saturday, the Brahmas and Bruiser, the Brahmas mascot, will be hosting an egg hunt for selected rowdy fans of all ages.
Tickets for Brahmas playoff hockey can be purchased three ways: 1) at the Brahmas Box Office at the NYTEX Sports Centre (8851 Ice House Drive), 2) online at www.brahmas.com and 3) by phone through Frontgate tickets at 888-512-SHOW.
