JACKSONVILLE, FL - Thursday, October 28, 2010 - ConAgra Foods and the United Football League are teaming up in an extensive initiative to help fight child hunger.

ConAgra Foods partners with Share Our Strength nationally for the "No Kid Hungry Campaign," and Food Bank for the Heartland locally in Omaha, Nebraska, for its "Shine the Light on Hunger" campaign. The UFL, and its Omaha Nighthawks team specifically, are helping ConAgra Foods with initiatives to help end child hunger at games in the coming weeks.

At the Nighthawks' top of the standings game against the Las Vegas Locomotives at Rosenblatt Stadium on Thursday, October 28 (7pm kickoff), there will be an in-stadium concourse promotion along with branded merchandise sold with proceeds from the sale of the items benefiting the cause.

At the Nighthawks' November 19 regular-season home finale against the Florida Tuskers, a food drive will include cash collection stations manned by ConAgra Foods volunteers, who will also solicit donations from tailgaters before the game. In addition, there will be an in-stadium information booth for "Shine the Light on Hunger" and opportunities for fans to purchase branded merchandise with proceeds from the sale of the items again benefiting the cause.

"We look forward to seeing the end results and how the generosity of the people of Omaha will positively impact many children's lives," said Omaha Nighthawks Director of Business Operations Don Igo. "The Nighthawks are proud to be part of this initiative."

Chris Kircher, President, ConAgra Foods Foundation added. "We are really excited to be partnering with the United Football League on such an important cause to ConAgra Foods that will benefit the communities in which we live and work. The partnership has exceeded our expectations and we are proud to 'Shine the Light on Hunger' in conjunction with the UFL."

ConAgra Foods and the UFL are using UFL-related advertising online, in-game programs and game time advertising to encourage fans nationwide to pledge to help end child hunger by signing the No Kid Hungry pledge online at www.nokidhungry.org/conagrafoods.

"The ConAgra Foods cause-related initiatives with the UFL and its sponsorship of the Omaha Nighthawks are perfect examples of how a sponsor can partner with us to effect change," said Clinton Wu, UFL senior director of business development. "What started off as a local effort to promote ConAgra Foods' Shine the Light on Hunger campaign in Omaha has grown organically into a national effort, rallying around the fight to end child hunger."

Steve Flanagan, executive vice president for sponsorship for the UFL, added: "I would first like to thank our partners ConAgra & AOL FanHouse for giving us the opportunity to collaborate with them on this great cause. At the UFL, we talk about how we want to activate our sponsors on all levels and with each other when it makes sense, and this is a perfect example how we can do that. We are utilizing our collective strengths and focusing them against audiences on-air, online and in-stadium."
