Richmond RiverDogs News Release
Richmond, VA - The RiverDogs have booked themselves another exciting weekend out in the Richmond community, scheduled to appear at a trio of events.
The Dogs' staff and mascot Razz will be spending the bulk of their time at the 92nd Chesterfield County Fair. The event began this afternoon and runs until Saturday, September 3rd. The RiverDogs are excited to be on-hand all weekend long, entertaining fans with games and prize-giveaways tomorrow from 11 am-11 pm and Sunday from 1-11 pm.
"I wish we could make it out to the Fair all day, everyday, but I guess we should be in the office a wee bit," said General Manager and Head Coach Robbie S. Nichols. "Just getting to make it out there at all, though, is a treat. It should be a lot of fun and we're really looking forward to it."
Razz will also be trotting around Richmond to a pair of additional events tomorrow, appearing at the Richmond Coliseum to meet kids who will be picking up school supplies from 11:30 am-1 pm, and then making his way to the Haynes Pro Line Boats Factory Direct Sale until roughly 2 pm. The Boat Show is located on Route 360, just east of Mechanicsville in Manquin, Virginia.
Meanwhile, the Chesterfield County Fair is located at the intersection of Krause and Courthouse Roads in Chesterfield, VA. For additional information on the event, directions and more, call (804) 768-0148 or log on to http://www.chesterfieldcountyfair.org.
Richmond opens its pre-season on October 14th with back-to-back games against new rival Roanoke. The matches, taking place in the 700-seat Skate Nation on the 14th and 15th, are being tabbed as the "Battle on Broad Street!" The regular season commences on Friday, October 21st, as the RiverDogs host the Adirondack Frostbite at the Richmond Coliseum. Individual game tickets for all Richmond home games will be available for purchase beginning in early-October. We will keep you updated with all developments regarding ticket sales as we draw closer to the season. Season tickets, FlexPaks, birthday parties and group packages are available through the RiverDogs' office. For more information on tickets or upcoming games, please call our office at (804) 225-PUCK (7825).
