Danbury Westerners News Release
On Wednesday June 22, the Westerners face off against the New Bedford Bay Sox. Westerners will be honoring the Jimmy Fund.
On Thursday June 23, the Newport Gulls come to town. We will honor the not-for-profit group, Hearts Around The World and we will also recognize Jake Patton, the recipient of the 2011 DW "Honorary Westerners" award. On Saturday, June 25 the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide makes it first and only visit. We will honor George Foster's "Building Bridges", recognizing the George Foster Home for boys. On Sunday, June 26, the tough Holyoke Blue Sox make their first visit to Rogers Park. We will honor the Danbury Youth Baseball Organization's T- Ball league, (DAYO T-Ball)
On Monday, June 27th the Danbury Westerners will be at Uno's Restaurant in the Danbury Fair Mall from 6:00 to 8:00pm to serve as guest waiters and sign autographs. A portion of the proceeds received from this event will be donated by Uno's to the Danbury Westerners.
