
Comet Sign Three More

(Kansas City, MO) - The Comets Major Indoor Soccer League Team has announced the signings of three more players today, including UMKC soccer great, Bryan Perez.
Bryan Perez, a midfielder, is UMKC's school record holder in goals (29), points (70), shots (160) and games played (78). This past season, Perez played for Miami FC. The other two signees are St. Louis products: defenders Brian Harris and Oliver "Olly" Dyson, who both played for former Comets and St. Louis Steamers star, Tony Glavin's St. Louis Lions of the United Soccer League.
"This group will bring an incredible amount of energy and excitement to our roster, said head coach, Kim Roentved. "These guys are really going to be a terrific compliment to the players we already have signed."
The Comets have also announced that the team will be unveiling their home and road uniforms for the 2010-2011 season this Saturday at the Comets Fan Fest, which runs from 11a-2p at the Independence Events Center. The uniforms, provided by Nike, the Comets new apparel and equipment sponsor, will be on display throughout the event.
The Comets Fan Fest is a unique opportunity for Comets fans to meet and get autographs from the coaching staff, including head coach and former Comets star, Kim Roentved, the signed players, and get some soccer pointers down on the newly-laid turf. There will be free cotton candy, free bounce houses and moonwalks for the kids, a season ticket give away, home opener tickets given away every half hour, free ice cream, Halloween candy and a 30 minute player scrimmage starting at 11:30 a.m.
The Comets Fan Fest is open to the public, and admission and parking are free.
