Comeback Falls Short in Series Finale

Over 4,600 fans turned out on Wednesday night to watch the Blue Wahoos close out their five-game set with the Jacksonville Suns. It was 40's night with appropriately themed videoboard graphics and music all night long.

The Blue Wahoos and Suns were locked in a duel all night but the Wahoos couldn't overcome the Suns 2-0 lead. Pensacola plated one in the eighth and had the tying run at third when the inning came to a close. The Wahoos got the tying run on in the bottom of the ninth but the rally fell short as the Suns won the game 2-1, and the series 3 games to 2.

Pensacola will now embark on a five-game road trip to Birmingham to play the Barons, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. First pitch on Thursday night is 7:05 p.m.
