Columbus Lions Surprise Dexter Elementary

Columbus Lions News Release
(Columbus, GA)- Head Coach Jason Gibson, reserve Quarterback Matt Makaryk, and Offensive Lineman Troy Bennett surprised the kids from Dexter Elementary School this afternoon at their "spirit day pep rally." The Lions spoke to the children about the importance of teamwork, dedication, and hard work and how each translates from the classroom to the playing field.
The Lions passed out team posters of the football team and the cheerleaders to all the kids at the pep rally. It was a great event for the kids and the Lions, "I can't tell you how excited I get to see the excitement on these kids faces when we walked in," said Coach Gibson, "if they only knew how honored we are to be asked to be a part of these types of events."
