Columbus Acquires Sheppard

GREENVILLE, S.C., January 20 â The Columbus Riverdragons have acquired Nick Sheppard and waived Marc Mazur, according to an announcement by NBDL director of basketball operations Chris Alpert and Columbus coach Jeff Malone.
Sheppard, a 6-foot-11, 270-pound center from Pepperdine (00), played eight games for the Huntsville Flight before being released Jan. 12. He averaged 17.6 minutes, 5.4 points and 5.9 rebounds.
Sheppard is expected to be in uniform when Columbus (5-15) travels to Roanoke (11-7) for a weekend double-header. Tip off for games on Friday and Saturday at the Roanoke Civic Center is 7 p.m. ET.
