Colts Announce Promotion Schedule

SAN ANGELO, Texas---In celebrating the ten year anniversary of San Angelo Colts baseball, we are announcing the most exciting and extensive promotional schedule yet.
The tenth season features familiar promotions from last year:
Thirsty Thursdays return to Foster Field. If the Colts are playing at home on a Thursday night, fans will pay $1.00 for each beer. Thirsty Thursdays are sponsored by Miller Lite. Another popular promotional item, coming back, is Haircuts at the Park. During Monday home games, Sport Clips will bring barbers to Foster Field to give the fans haircuts.
Sure Win Wednesday is perhaps the biggest fan favorite. The night is sponsored by Sherwin Williams. If the Colts lose, as you leave Foster Field, each person will receive a ticket for the next Wednesday's home game. Last season, this promotion was on Monday and the Colts went undefeated.
New promotions are always great because it gives the fans more to look forward to.
One of the special nights for this season is $2.00 Tuesdays. San Angelo fans can purchase General Admission tickets, on a Tuesday home game, for $2.00. Concession items including: hot dogs, soda, beer, and hamburgers will be the same price as the tickets. This night has been made possible by Budweiser.
Generating excitement at Foster Field is a priority; that is why there will be two fireworks shows.
The first is planned for Friday, June 12, when the Colts take on the Amarillo Dillas. On that day, there will also be a T-shirt giveaway. The occasion is sponsored by 1st Community Federal Credit Union. The other fireworks display will take place on Saturday, August 29, against the Rio Grande Valley White Wings. That Saturday is also one of the ten top promotions nights of the season.
Traditional item giveaways, for 2009, are also in store:
Rally towels will be provided at Foster Field on June 13. Double Dave's is sponsoring Magnetic Schedule giveaway on June 14. Arroyo Square Apartments is our sponsor for Logo Baseball giveaway, on June 20. Fibermax is the proud supporter of Replica Jerseys provided on July 11. Reliant Energy will be the sponsor for Cap Night on July 17.
Catering to the children is another important factor:
Youth Baseball Glove giveaway highlights the night of July 24; it is sponsored by Concho Valley Partnership. The Major League Card giveaway and San Angelo Colts team card sets will be provided on consecutive days, starting July 31. Sportsmaniac is sponsoring those events. Casey-the-Colt bobble head giveaway is scheduled for August 28. We thank West Central Wireless for their sponsorship. Finally, Back to School Kits are on the agenda for August 30.
Some of the new giveaway merchandise is sure to be a home run:
The San Angelo Community Medical Center is happy to sponsor Seat Cushion Night on June 19. State Farm is our supporter for Travel Bag Night on June 26. Get ready to put your coffee in new travel mugs on July 10. Fans at Foster Field will receive these mugs.
Colts fans should also be prepared for theme nights at Foster Field:
There will be three Sure Win Wednesday's which include Youth Clinics. These clinics are sponsored by Vaughn's Custom Countertops Inc. The dates of these Wednesday's are June 24, July 15, and August 5. Wiener Dog races return for Saturday, June 27. The event is brought to you by Knickerbocker Road Animal Hospital.
In addition to those theme nights, there are four others you should be aware of:
Two jersey chairty auctions will take place during the season. One of them is on July 12 while the second is August 7. Foster Communications is sponsoring the Shirt Off Our Back Jersey Auction on the earlier date. Concho Valley Partnership is backing Throwback Jersey Night in August.
If you take your loved ones to a baseball game, make sure to come on July 14. Not only is it $2.00 Tuesdays, but it is Diamond Dig Night. After the ballgame, there is a diamond placed in the field where women dig for the jewelry. The event is sponsored by Legend Jewelers.
The final theme night is Dog Days of Summer. It is a great opportunity to bring your pooch to the park. The North Concho Vet Clinic is sponsoring this opportunity on August 16.
