Colts Announce Biggest Promo Schedule In Team History

SAN ANGELO, Texas - When fans come out to Foster Field this season, whether the Colts win or lose, the organization is making sure they'll go home happy. That is because the San Angelo Colts today have released the biggest promotional schedule in franchise history, loaded with great giveaways and exciting entertainment. The entire schedule is attached as an MS Word Document.
"Each year here in San Angelo, our affordable family entertainment has gotten bigger and better and the 2008 promotional schedule is just another example of that," said Colts GM Mike Babcock. "I continue to be amazed at the support of all of our local sponsors because without them, these great giveaways and promotions would not be possible."
The home opener at 7:05 p.m. on May 20 against the Laredo Broncos kicks off the home schedule in a grand way with Post-game Fireworks, sponsored by Adobe Signs & T-shirts and KLST. There are three other Fireworks Nights this summer, with the first of the three coming on May 23, sponsored by NY Special (who also sponsors the Guns N' Hoses game played that day between the San Angelo Fire Department and Police Department). Adobe Signs & T-shirts and KLST sponsor the two remaining Fireworks Shows, which will take place on July 15 following the All-Star Game and on August 17, which is the last home game of the regular season as well as Fan Appreciation Night. There are also three Youth Clinics this season, all of which are sponsored by Wal-Mart and KSAN, on June 9, June 30 and August 5.
The Colts are also taking normally undistinguished days of the week and turning them into very special days at Foster Field! Adult fans can get their first taste of $1 Beer Night on May 22, and continue to enjoy it on every other Miller Lite "Thirsty Thursday" after that when the Colts are playing at home. Every Wednesday home game for the Colts will present an opportunity for fans to go home looking a little neater as Sport Clips will be providing haircuts at the ballpark. Also, Monday home games are now "Sure Win" Mondays; if the Colts lose on a Monday night at home, all fans in attendance will receive free tickets to the next Monday home game, courtesy of Sherwin Williams.
In addition, there is a massive amount of games for Colts fans to come away with great giveaways and add to their memorabilia collection. The season kicks into gear with a Baseball Keychain giveaway on May 24, sponsored by Arroyo Square Apartments. The next day, Sunday, May 25, Foster Communications and Double Dave's sponsor a Magnetic Schedule giveaway. Fans can greatly improve their wardrobes on May 30 with a Visor giveaway, courtesy of Budget Blinds, on May 31 with a Colts T-shirt giveaway, thanks to the 1st Community Federal Credit Union, on June 13 with a Replica Jersey giveaway, sponsored by FiberMax, and on June 21 with a Colts Ball Cap giveaway, sponsored by Reliant Energy and Fox-10.
The Colts have saved some of the best giveaways for later in the summer as the second half of the season is packed with outstanding prizes. On June 28, the U.S. Border Patrol and Fox-10 sponsor a Youth Baseball Glove giveaway. Also, fans can take home Bobblehead Dolls on two separate occasions: July 26, thanks to West Central Wireless and Fox-10, and on August 16, courtesy of the San Angelo Community Medical Center
And don't forget some of the most memorable events of the summer like the Legend Jewelers "Diamond Dig" on July 1. After the game, all female fans 18 and over will be invited onto the field to dig through the infield dirt for a diamond pendant and whoever finds it gets to keep it! Also, on July 27, fans can experience the Dog Days of Summer-literally-as they will be allowed to bring their dogs into the ballpark, thanks to the North Concho Veterinary.
