Colorado Stays #1 on Yellowbook CHL Coaches Poll

For the third straight poll, the Northern Conference leading Colorado Eagles are the #1 team on the Yellowbook CHL Coaches Poll earning 14 of the possible 16 first place votes (teams cannot vote for themselves). The Eagles are 29-6-1 and have the league's best win percentage at .819. They lead the Northwest Division by 15 points over the second place Rocky Mountain Rage and are 10 points in front in the conference race. The other two first place votes went to the Southern Conference leading Odessa Jackalopes who finish the poll in the #4 spot (previously were #3).

Three teams moved up in the poll with the Southeast Division leading Texas Brahmas making the biggest jump moving from #5 to #2. Also moving upward are the Rocky Mountain Rage (from #9 to #7) and the Mississippi RiverKings (from #7 to #5).

The Laredo Bucks had the biggest drop in the latest poll falling four spots from #8 to #4. The Bucks have just three wins in their last 10 games. Along with Laredo and Odessa, also dropping in the current poll are the Oklahoma City Blazers (from #2 to #3) and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees (from #8 to #9).

The CHL Top 10 Coaches Poll will be released on or near the beginning and middle of each month through the regular season. Each first place vote receives 10 points, second place earns nine points, etc.
