Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox and Memorial Hospital have teamed up to promote health, exercise and athletics with a new community partnership that recognizes Memorial Hospital as the Official Hospital of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

Under this exclusive, three-year partnership, the two organizations will collaborate around healthy initiatives in the Pikes Peak Region.

The partnership is one of the ways that the two organizations, among the most recognizable names in southern Colorado, show their community pride and a commitment to a healthy quality of life.

"The Sky Sox are proud to enter into this long term partnership with Memorial Hospital," said Sky Sox President and General Manager Tony Ensor. "We are equally excited about the future development of Memorial Hospital and what that means to the Colorado Springs community and are happy to be a partner in this growth. We share Memorial's excitement for our city and how quality of life, health and wellness affect us all."

"This is one of the many ways that Memorial is rebuilding relationships in the community,'' said Mike Scialdone, chief executive officer of Memorial Hospital. "Memorial spent many years mired in uncertainty over its future. Our vision and our future are bright, and we are gaining momentum, hiring doctors, investing in technology and re-engaging with our great community.''

Memorial is also the Official Hospital of the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and the Official Hospital of Colorado College hockey.
