
Colorado Ice Sign Indoor Veteran to Coach Linemen

Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice are proud to announce Rico Ochoa as their newest addition to the 2013 coaching staff. Coach Ochoa will be coaching the Offensive and Defensive Lines and currently is the Defensive Line coach for Denver East High School.
Coach Ochoa comes from Sidney, Nebraska and played eight years in the Arena Football League. Teams he has played for in the AFL and af2 are the Spokane Shock, Pittsburgh Power, Kansas City Command, Wichita Stealth and the Dallas Vigilantes.
In 2009, Ochoa was selected as the third best lineman of all-time in the af2 Football League based on voting by coaches, media and fans from across the country. He is also in the Hall of Fame in the AF2 league. In college, he was on the defensive line for the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Head Coach Heron O'Neal commented, " Being able to get Coach Ochoa on our staff will benefit our whole team, with his knowledge of the indoor game this puts us one step closer to going further in the playoffs."
Ice returning coaches are Offensive Coordinator Dillon Sanders, Linebacker and Defensive Backs Coach Brian Arndt and Coach O'Neal will be the Defensive Coordinator. "With the returning coaches we will keep a cohesive staff that have been to the playoffs together and that are hungry to get that ring." stated Coach O'Neal.
The coaching staff is currently recruiting new players and re-signing some key position players that will get the Colorado Ice to a Championship Game.
