
Colorado Ice Players Receive Most Improved Player and 2011 All IFL Team Awards

Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice are proud to announce that David Knighton (5) quarterback for the Colorado Ice received the Most Improved Player Award for the 2011 IFL Season.
The Most Improved Player Award is for the individual who improved their overall level of play from last season to this season. David Knighton of the Colorado Ice has earned this award performing in an amazing turnaround season from last year at 2-12. Knighton led the Ice through week eight undefeated and only allowing three losses on the season. Knighton improved as a player and a leader in his transition from 2010-11, registering over 2,000 yards and 38 touchdowns on the season and earning a spot as the 1 seed in the playoffs.
Also, the Colorado Ice had three players make the All IFL Teams. Eryk Anders (32) Linebacker and Defensive End received the All IFL 1st Team Ironman Award for his accomplishments on Offense and Defense. Collin Cordell (78) Center for the Colorado Ice received All IFL 2nd Team accolades along with Defensive Back Idly Etienne (43) with 94 total tackles, 3 sacks, 3 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles and 9 broken-up passes.
The Colorado Ice will face the Tri-Cities Fever in their first ever home playoff game on Monday Night, June 27th at 7:00 pm on Majestic Roofing Field at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, CO.
