Colorado Ice Keeps Winning Streak Alive 7-0

(Loveland, CO) - The Colorado Ice win their seventh straight game at home,by beating the Wyoming Cavalry with a final score of 59-54.

The game started early with a touchdown by the Cavalry, on their first possession. It didn't take long for the Colorado Ice to respond. David Knighton (5) pitched the ball to the Colorado native and newcomer to the Ice, Maurice Greer (34) for the touchdown. Rocky Stevens (26) kicked a PAT to tie up the score up 7-7.

The Colorado Ice offense scored first in the second quarter with another Knighton (5) to Greer (34) touchdown, followed by the PAT by Stevens (26). The Cavalry scores in the second quarter came from kicker Travis Atter (15), who was able to complete a 20-yard, 40-yard, and 35-yard field goal to give the Cavalry the extra nine points. Greer (34) ran in another Ice touchdown making it his third for the half. The half ended with both teams being tied at 23-23.

Eryk Anders (32) Colorado Ice Linebacker scored on a pass from Knighton (5) in the third quarter, followed by a PAT from Stevens (26). At the start of the fourth quarter Greer (34) revisited the end zone with another touch down after an impressive 14-yard run by Quarterback David Knighton (5).

Brandon Fanney (98) recovered a safety after a bad snap by the Cavalry. The Ice offense continued scoring with a Knighton (5) throw to Duane Brooks (2) who ran the ball in for a touchdown with one shoe on. The Cavalry and their kicker Atter (15) replied with a touchdown and completed PAT. Seconds later Knighton (5) made a strong pass to Ken Witter (18) for an Ice touchdown.

Idly Etienne sealed the deal for the Ice win with a sideline interception and then running the ball back to the 17-yard line in the last remaining 90 seconds of the game.
