Colorado Ice Improves Offensive Line with Signing of Marquez

Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice are pleased to announce the signing of offensive lineman Darren Marquez.

Marquez, who is 6'5" and weighs in at 315 pounds, played his college ball at Southern Illinois University, where he was named to the Gateway Conference All-Newcomer team in 2005. After leaving school, Marquez signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2008. Marquez has been playing professional football ever since and has also had stints with the British Columbia Lions of the CFL in 2009 as well as the Nebraska Danger of the IFL in 2012.

Marquez is originally from New Orleans, LA, where he attended St. Augustine High School. Marquez was a Bayou Top 25 best players selection following his senior year at St. Augustine, and was rated as the 18th best lineman prospect in the nation by Rivals.
