
Colorado Ice Immune to Cobras Bite

(Loveland, CO) - The Colorado Ice wins their exhibition game against the Colorado Cobras with a final score of 72-6. The Ice started out with an immediate touchdown by Sherad Ellis (12). It was the Colorado Ice defense that made their presence known in the first quarter and set the tone for the rest of the game
The Colorado Ice players were busy scoring all through the first quarter. David Knighton (5) completed his 37-yard pass to Ellis (12) for a touchdown, a 41-yard field goal was completed by Josh Arauco (34), and the new comer AJ Roberts (13) made a big interception at the Cobras 22 yard line and ran back for a touchdown making the score at the end of the first quarter 23-0.
Throughout the rest of the game it was Jalon Hopkins (22) who wreaked havoc on the Cobras by carrying in two touchdowns for the Ice at the beginning of the third quarter and 45 rushing yards for the entire game. Rocky Stevens (26) also came on the field in the third quearter and made great kicks for the Ice. Every PAT attempted was completed.
It wasn't until the beginning of the fourth quarter that the Colorado Ice defense gave up a touchdown making the score 49-6. The Ice offense and defense worked great together tonight showing the Budweiser Event Center what is yet to come for this years season.
The Colorado Ice will be facing the Amarillo Venom on Friday, February 25th at 7pm in the Budweiser Events Center.
