Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice are proud to announce the signing of coach Heron O'Neal to the Ice Organization.

Continuing their off season course of bringing in top level talent, the Colorado Ice have acquired the services of O'Neal for the 2011 campaign. O'Neal was previously the Head Coach of the Billings Outlaws, winning two IFL Championship rings, as well as winning a championship while Billings was a member of the now defunct NIFL. O'Neal will join the Ice organization as the Defensive Coordinator.

Owner, Tom Wigley commented, "We have pursued exceptional talent in terms of the players all off season. When the opportunity was presented to allow us to do the same in terms of coaching, we took a hard look at trying to bring Heron to Colorado. After meeting with Heron and Collins, and seeing that they would be able to coach together, it was just a matter of putting the pieces in place to get this deal done."

Coach "O" brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to our staff, and it should begin to pay dividends immediately. With our core of returning players and the talent that we have been able to attract, things are looking very good for us at this point. This is just another example of the commitment that Mr. Wigley has made in his efforts to become an elite team in the IFL", stated Head Coach, Collins Sanders.

O'Neal stated, "The idea of coming to Colorado was an attractive one for me. The organization is ready to make its mark on the field. Collins and I have been fierce competitors when facing each other in the past, but now we have the chance to combine our efforts and bring a championship to Colorado. This is a great situation for all of us in the Ice organization."

The Colorado Ice are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). All home games are played at the Budweiser Events Center located in Loveland, Colorado. The 2011 season kicks off in February. Season tickets for the 2011 season are available at the Colorado Ice headquarters by calling (970) 472-0128. For the full 2011 schedule and seating chart go to www.TheColoradoIce.com.
