Colorado Ice Dominate the Wyoming Cavalry 73-22

Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice dominated both sides of the ball Saturday with a 73 - 22 win against the Wyoming Cavalry. Quarterback, Willie Copeland (13) was this week's Runza Player of the Game with 158 yards and five touchdowns.

The first half the Ice had a fast start and took advantage of the Cavalry's penalties as they had three offside calls in there first two possessions. Receiver Donald Fusilier (9) started the scoring run and had a total of 2 touchdowns in the game. Kyle Kaiser had three touchdowns for 134 yards.

Defense contributed significantly to the scoring board. The Ice had two defensive touchdowns by Harcourt Farquharson (18) and Corey Sample (20). A few seconds earlier defensive back Deante Purvis (2) had a 10-yard kickoff returned for a touchdown. Purvis also had an interception in which running back Jesse Lewis would have a 13-yard touchdown run. Joe Thornton (1), Darrington Sentimore (93), and Keyun Swiney (99) all had sacks in the game as well.

The Ice defense limited the Cavalry to just 209 yards and two touchdowns by Samuel Charles (4) and quarterback Chris Ware (7). Chancey Aghayere (95) was a key player on the D-line with a fourth and one stop as well as a sack on the Cavalry's two-point conversion attempt.

The Colorado Ice will have a rematch against the Sioux Falls Storm next week in South Dakota on Sunday March 16th at 3:05pm.
