Colorado Crush News Release
Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice defense has been exceptional to say the least in the Ice's 55-20 win.
Proving why they are one of the top defenses in the league the Ice limited the Fever to just 185 yards and the Fever's lowest point total this season. Runza player of the game Chancey Aghayere (95) had a key third down sack as well as 3 tackles.
The rest of the stats speak for itself as almost every player for the Ice had a defensive stop. This included three interceptions by Harcourt Farquharson (18), Malcolm Williams (24) and one by Corey Sample (20), which was returned for a touchdown.
The Ice had a total of six broken up passes, two of which came from defensive back Deante Purvis (6). Dequinta Jones (90) also had two of the three Ice blocked field goals.
Offensively the Ice had touchdowns from a variety of players, including two from quarterback Willie Copeland (13), Donald Fusilier (9), Kyle Kaiser (8), Dennis Kennedy (7) and Jasonus Tillery (88). Kennedy was the team's leading receiver with 107 yards.
The Colorado Ice have a two week road trip to Texas Revolution followed by the Tri-Cities Fever. The next home game is May 10th against the Texas Revolution at 6:00pm.
