Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice is proud to announce the signings of three new players to the Ice Organization. The players are Mike Ford, Chris Mayes, and Dan Wylie.

Ford is a 6'1", 235 lb. running back from The University of South Florida. Ford spent three seasons at USF, playing in 34 games during his career. Following his junior season, Ford signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. Before USF, Ford was one of the most highly sought after recruits from the state of Florida, being considered a five-star recruit by numerous databases and joining a rare group as one of only two running backs from the state of Florida to run for over 200 yards in 11 straight games; the other player is former NFL and Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry.

Mayes is a 6'3", 255 lb. defensive end from Wesley College. Mayes spent all four collegiate seasons at Wesley, bursting onto the scene as a sophomore and never looking back. In his four seasons at Wesley, Mayes played in 38 games, accumulating 175 tackles, 90 tackles for loss, 40 sacks, 26 pass break-ups, 9 forced fumbles, 8 quarterback hurries, and 1 interception. Mayes finished his career as one of the most decorated players in Wesley history, with his 90 tackles for loss and 40 sacks ranking him second and fourth respectively in school history. Mayes accolades didn't stop there as during his career he received recognition as, South Region Defensive Player of the Year, Third Team All-American, First Team All-South Region, First Team All-American, Preseason D-III Player of the Year, Team MVP, as well as many others.

Wylie is a 6'0", 305 lb. defensive lineman from Appalachian State University, who was rated as the 115th best defensive tackle prospect in the 2012 draft class. Wylie spent his final two collegiate seasons at Appalachian State, playing in 25 games and accumulating 83 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 1 pass break-up, and 2 quarterback hurries. In his senior season alone, Wylie had 44 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 1 pass break-up, and 2 quarterback hurries. Prior to playing at Appalachian State, Wylie spent his time at Georgia Military College where he played in 14 games and had 48 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks. Wylie comes to Colorado with plenty of winning experience as during his two seasons at ASU, they had a record of 18-7, and made the FCS playoffs in both seasons. Wylie will join former ASU teammate, Cedric Baker Boney, when camp opens in February.
