Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice are proud to announce that Heron O'Neal has been signed as the Head Coach and Director of Football Operations going into the 2012 IFL Season. With this change Collins Sanders will remain the General Manager for the Colorado Ice, allowing him to focus on the day to day operations of the organization.

Sanders commented on the changes in the Ice organization, "When the 2011 Season started, we had an idea that we would move in this direction at some point. Now that we have been able to maintain all of the components that allowed for success on the field; we are going to be able to expand our efforts in all aspects of the organization both on and off the field."

Coach O'Neal's coaching staff for 2012 will consist of four returning coaches and the signing of Marcus Pearson as Defensive Line Coach and Assistant Recruiting Coordinator. The returning coaches are Brian Arndt as Defensive Coordinator, Dillon Sanders as Assistant Offensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator, Josh Graham as Offensive Line Coach, and George Martinez as Wide Receivers Coach.

Pearson comes to the Ice after taking a year off from coaching. Pearson was on Coach O'Neal's staff at the Billings Outlaws for their two championship seasons.

Coach O'Neal stated, "I am so excited about the opportunity and the challenge at hand. It's good to have a staff with all of this experience in the IFL and that the coaching staff gets along. My goals are quite simple and are the same every year; win the division, get home field advantage throughout the playoffs and WIN the IFL Championship."

The Colorado Ice are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). All home games are played on Majestic Roofing Field at the Budweiser Events Center located in Loveland, Colorado. 2012 Season Tickets are available by contacting the Colorado Ice offices at (970) 472-0128.
