Fort Collins, CO-The Colorado Ice Professional Indoor Football team and Sam's Club are teaming up to benefit the Children's Miracle Network, for their "Community Cares Day," game.
The Community Cares Day Game will be a match up of the Ice and the Allen Wranglers, who are based in Allen, TX. Recently, the Wranglers made news by signing future NFL Hall of Fame receiver Terrell Owens to a contract for the 2012 season. Owens has played in two games for the Wranglers this season once on the road and once at home. He has 8 receptions for 103 yards and 4 receiving touchdowns.
Owens availability for the game with the Ice has not been determined.
"I really hope that Mr. Owens and the Wranglers take a hard look at what this game means for a lot of children and is on the field for this game in Colorado. It is our belief that community matters and I believe the Ice and Sam's Club have shown that in their recent efforts," stated Colorado Ice Owner Tom Wigley.
Come support the Ice on Sunday March 18th, 2012 at 3 p.m. at The Budweiser Events Center located in Loveland, Colorado and make a difference in a child's life.
Sam's Club and Children's Miracle Network will be at the game accepting donations that will benefit Children's Hospital Colorado.
