Colorado Chill Hires Aaron Moore to Serve as GM

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado Chill of the National Women's Basketball League (NWBL) have named Aaron Moore as the team's General Manager, it was announced today by team Owner Dave King. Moore, 23, will report to King, the club's owner and owner of Triple Crown Sports.

"We are pleased to add someone like Aaron to our staff," said King. "He provides all of the necessary qualities to be successful - experience in several capacities, dedication, and of course, he's familiar with the organization."

Moore, who has spent the last year and a half working for National Pro Fastpitch (NPF), has spent five months as the General Manager of the Arizona Heat. Prior to joining the NPF, he worked as a student in the Colorado State University – Pueblo athletics department. The 2003 graduate of CSU-Pueblo has worked in several sports areas, including the Mountain West Conference basketball tournament, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the NCAA tournament and the Colorado Xplosion.

"I'm happy to be a part of an organization like the Chill and Triple Crown Sports," said Moore. "Triple Crown has always had a very special place in my heart and I'm anxious to tackle the challenge of helping Dave assemble a team that Northern Colorado basketball fans can be proud of each and every season."

The Chill will open the season with a series of exhibition games against the Chicago Blaze beginning on January 8th. The first game will be played in Becky Hammon's hometown of Rapid City, SD, while the second will be played on January 9th at the Budweiser Events Center. The regular season will begin on January 15 when the Lubbock Hawks visits Colorado.

The NWBL is a six-team league that features more than 25 active WNBA players. Other teams in the league include the Birmingham Power (Birmingham, Ala.); Dallas Fury (Dallas, Texas); Chicago Blaze (Naperville, Ill.); San Jose Spiders (San Jose, Calif.) and Lubbock Hawks (Lubbock, Texas).

Upcoming Events

Members of the Chill, including several players, will be on-hand December 28th at the Foothills Fashion Mall in Fort Collins at 215 E. Foothills Parkway. The Chill booth will be open from 9:30 a.m. until the mall closes at 9 p.m., with player appearances scheduled to run from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
