Tsk...tsk...tsk...Many calls and emails today regarding the heated hunt for the treasure....Arrr, it seems to be that many of you want to play along but lack the motivation. You have the clues, all but one really, and ultimately you'll probably figure that one out as well, but it seems many of you lack the will to assemble yer clues, Lads and Lassies! 'Tis best to take all of your emails and look for things that could be clues, even if they don't make sense by themselves. If you scribe 'em on your parchment, ultimately you will begin to see many of them that correspond to each other...a pattern, if you will.

So, to steal a line from a movie, Mate, "The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can't do. For instance, you can accept that your fellow fan is hunting and scheming to find the medallion, or you can't. But pirate is in your blood, boy, and you'll have to square with that someday. Now me, for example, I can let you drown in your pity and 'woe be me' mentality because ya don't want to get up off your couch and look for yerself. But you can't bring this coin into Viera all by your onesies, savvy? So, can you search under the command of a fellow Fan-o-tee or can you not?"

The five lads last night all worked independent from each other, save a father-son team. Together they all had the correct answers but each decided to submit his answer sheet independently. All of them were wrong. If they had worked together they would've obtained a very important clue, a color photo, no less that would've put them in a huge lead over everybody else. They could've shared the photo and went their separate ways, but each chose to command their own destiny, Swab.

That fateful decision allowed everybody to stay even with the group when together the group of five could've almost eliminated all but the five. What's a photo worth...one thousand words or one thousand dollars? The group of five gave everybody reading this a second wind.

Now, ye can just delete this and let 'em continue to rule the roost, or ye can begin gettin' in the game. The clue in this email is very simple.

I have a map.

Ye can be gettin' yerself a copy of said map that will eliminate roughly half of the county, thereby narrowing your possibilities. Ahh, sounds temptin,' eh? Ye can eliminate a host of possible areas to search with this map. Ye can acquire this map sometime in the next week if you play along. Yer wife or significant other can have you back in her life. Ye can sleep easier. Doan get ahead of me and think that just 'cuz ye can eliminate 50% of the county that that means the top or bottom halves of the watercolor map, Mate...this map of the county has grid lines and every other block is now blacked out, similar to a chess board, Mate. Every other square makes 50%, but some of those squares are nothing but water and some are land so ye be acquiring a real advantage.

That's the good news.

Now the bad.

The map will only be available to the first 25 Treasure Hunters that correctly respond to a question. And although you can still find the medallion without the map, your time searching will not be enjoyable.

Arr, so ye want a copy, no?

Then play along because here's the skinny....In the next email we will throw out a question. The first 25 correct responses will receive a copy of the map. 'Tis be that simple, Fanotees.

Now then, because ye all be pirates at heart, ye prob' ly already be thinkin' of how to cheat yer fellow Fanotees out of their right to a copy of the map. We wouldn't respect ye if ye wouldn't be thinkin' about that. It doan matter if you have 25 personal email addresses and ye receive all 25 copies yerself to steal the maps fer yerself...let's jus' call that the Pirate way. So go ahead, get as many email addresses as possible, but understand this mate, they all must be on our emailing list to receive a map. Get yer yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and other accounts set up, grab yer kids and fair-lady's accounts as well, but they had better be signed up, and since this next email could come at any time, ye best be hurryin,' Lackey. But that be yer concern, Mate, not ar's.

Las' but certianly not least, ye better be ready for two things: 1-when will the next email arrive? and 2-How quickly can you dig out the correct answer and respond?

Sleep on that, Mate, and decide who in your circle of friends is going to be watching for the next email to arrive while ye be at work, asleep, golfing or watching the Super Bowl.

"You've got mail!"

Ah, ye better sleep with the volume up on yer speakers, 'cuz this could be a middle of the night message that has ye sleepin' light. Maybe t'night...maybe t'morrow night...maybe over the weekend.

And ye doan haff to be sayin' it, Lads...we know exactly what you think of us! Many of you made that clear t'day in yer messages.

That's why we're the Manatees.
