Those organizations that wish to conduct fundraisers this summer with the Brevard County Manatees are encouraged to contact Kylee hanish at (321) 633-9200 x3004. Kylee is our Director of Community Relations and has a lot of ideas and ways to make your organization's fundraiser successful. In the past two years we have helped generate (or donated) over $150,000 in cash or donations to local non-profits. We are a small business and naturally cannot do everything for everybody, however, we are very active in our community.

Those that wish to help a great organization can make plans to attend the Brevard Achievement Center's annual Coffee and Chocolate Fundraiser. last year we helped decorate a cookie at this event and when the bidding began for the decorated cookies, the Manatees cookie took top honors. "It was," in the words of team owner Dr Tom Winters, "the ugliest cookie I have ever laid eyes on." But not only was it ugly but there was frosting that stated: The winner of this cookie will receive 100 tickets to opening night. The cookie generated $125 for the BAC. We're shameless but hey, bribery works.

An Evening of "Coffee & Chocolate", Saturday, February 10th from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Cocoa Civic Center, 430 Delannoy Avenue, Cocoa Village. Tickets are $25.00 and will include samples of great coffees, decadent chocolates and desserts, silent and live auctions, jazz group and a local celebrity cookie decorating contest. In our treasure hunt we had five people solve yesterday's cryptogram The clue was written backwards and from bottom to top...for those of you that cheat the system and use a descrambler on the internet, hey, sure hate to be you tonight because these five individuals came to the stadium and played some dice games to receive a monster clue. None of the five solved the final answer in the allotted time, however, each of the five have a better understanding of the final pace count and of what to expect in the future for clues.

Rumor has it that some wives are growing tired of our game and that some of our treasure hunters are on the endangered species list for weekday searches. C'mon, ladies, I'm getting the guys off the couch and getting 'em some exercise.

Here's yesterday's clue for treasure hunters that failed miserably (except for five of you):

If you read last night's email you should've seen a line that said 'you have to look at the clues differently.'

If you did, you solved it.

Congratulations to the five guys now in trouble with their wives/moms...guys, to get out of the doghouse might we suggest taking her to Conry's Bar and let her check out the menu?...I suggest the house drink entitled Mistress of the Salmon Salt. The drinks have seaside names, but they're pretty interesting. Look at what all the military guys order. It's a little pricey but the food and drinks are worth it. That's Conry's Bar on the beach. The entire place has a rose motif and you'll be suckered into buying her one at your table so bring along a five dollar bill because you won't be getting change from a ten. Nah, it's not like being in church with only that $100 bill and nothing else in your pocket and a sheepish grin on your face, but you get the idea. We're actually trying to line up a best seat in the house promotion with the owner from Conry's and have a fan win dinner for two during every home game.
