Cobras Hold Snake Charmers Auditions

CHARLOTTE Â The Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League will hold preliminary auditions for their official dance team, the Snake Charmers, on Saturday, September 20 at 9:00 a.m. inside the Crown Club located in the Charlotte Coliseum.
As a member of the Snake Charmers, area women will have the opportunity to perform in front of thousands of fans, participate in photo shoots and radio and television spots, as well as serving as goodwill ambassadors for the organization in various community and corporate appearances.
Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m., with tryouts beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and should come dressed in a mid-drif top with briefs or shorts and dance sneakers or tennis shoes. A $25 registration fee (cash or money order only) and valid driver's license for photo verification is required.
Dancers that advance past the first round on Saturday will compete in final auditions on Thursday, September 25 at Coyote Joe's (4621 Wilkinson Blvd.) beginning at 7:30 p.m. The final auditions are open to the public and will be hosted by Fox 18's Mark Mathis and WFNZ's Tom Carey. Other local celebrities invited to judge the event include Adam Smasher of Kiss 95.1, Luke Dawg of WSOC, JoJo Dancer of Power 97.9 and Todd Sauerbrun of the Carolina Panthers.
